How is Air Pollution Regulated?
The Hong Kong Government’s management of air quality is subject to the Air Pollution Control Ordinance, which contains recommended, non-binding emissions levels guidelines called Air Quality Objectives (AQOs) for seven widespread air pollutants. The AQOs were established in 1987 and have not been revised since.
