The most effective way is to cut off all the "Big White Elephant "constructions in H.K.since they produce nothing but air, noise ,waste, pollution in a high degree that All people in H.k. produce;moreover the distruction of trees and forest by these constructions are uncountable and trees help to filter and clean the air.Ex. the HKZM bridge and etc.,

Totally agree that we need to clean up the bus fleet, but I'd focus on solutions for the worst polluters.

The minibuses ave already moved to a cleaner fuel, and heavy buses account for 40% of roadside pollution - from some of the oldest and dirtiest engines off the road as soon as possible.

What are the best solutions for our double-decker bus fleet?

LNG, electric, hybrids and even hydrogen have all been used overseas, so why not in HK?

Cheers

One of the most direct method of reducing ground pollution from fossil vehicles is to convert them into electric vehicles. I am in the business of electric vehicle and know that it can be done effectively at low costs.

Imagine converting all the 5,000 mini buses to electric vehicles. That is like taking away 50,000 polluting cars from the streets (assuming that they emit 10 times as much as ordinary private cars).

The costs of running electric mini buses are cheaper, maybe at about 1/3 of the LPG costs. So this is a win-win proposal for all concerned.

We can do the private car conversion too. The double decker buses are much harder. Not to say it cannot be done.

When it is all done, Hong Kong will have the best ground level air quality in the world.
